Sarah Smith

...I've won the Agatha (for best mystery) and the Massachusetts Book Award (for best book). The books are published in 14 languages and have become bestsellers here and abroad.  They have been named New York Times Books of the Year (twice), London Times Book of the Year, Village Voice Editor's Choice, Entertainment Weekly Editor's Choice, and lots of other cool things.  Thank you, and it's good to be recommended!   more bio and pictures

Here I am at the New England Crime Bake Vampires' Ball in honor of Charlaine Harris, whose work I love.  I'm a fan of the fantastic, ghosts, the Edwardian period, Brazil, and strange machines.  I hang out on Facebook. For the full experience, go friend me there.

Such a good time at Readercon, hanging out with friends and making new ones, enthusing about Naomi Novik and Nnedi Okorafor, and discovering new books. Ellen Klages's WICKED WONDERS, Katherine Arden's THE BEAR AND THE NIGHTINGALE, Terence Taylor's BLOOD PRESSURE, and (thank you, Carl!) Malka Older's NULL STATES, not even out yet. Lucky and happy.

Delicious WHITEHALL is available as an entire series! Trolley on over to Serialbox.com, get all the episodes, power up your teapot and scones, and binge!

The eBooks of the Alexander von Reisden-Perdita Halley series are out! Sorry it took so long; we had to keep convincing Amazon that we really had the rights to them. Here are the lovely covers.

"A Dog in the Weather" appears in the NESFA Press collection Conspiracy!, edited by Thomas Easton and Judith K. Dial. It's about the end of the world, as seen by one of those little shaggy dogs that's all eyebrows. Here's the cover, with a splendid fierce Bob Eggleton dragon. And check out SF FOR THE THRONE, a collection of short stories suitable for short stays in small rooms.
